How to reduce hyperpigmentation after acne? - #9862

Anonymous

I had a few but continuous breakouts until last 2 months. It caused some dark spots, but no scars. In order to remove those spots I used Aziderm 10%(February) and Ezanic 10%(March and April), but I could not see any results. However, there is no breakouts anymore. But the hyperpigmentation is still there. But, the texture of the area where I have been applying the gel has changed. It is a bit rough now. What should I do? Should I continue Ezanic 10%?

Barrier Repair & Gentle Care (2–3 weeks): • Use a gentle, non-foaming cleanser. • Apply a moisturizer with ingredients like ceramides, niacinamide, or panthenol. • Avoid exfoliants or active treatments during this phase. 2. Switch to gentler pigmentation treatments (once your skin calms down): • Niacinamide 5% serum – helps with pigmentation and supports skin barrier. • Alpha Arbutin 2% – a mild, effective option for fading dark spots. • Vitamin C (ascorbic acid 10–15%) – brightens skin and evens tone (if your skin tolerates it well). 3. Sunscreen is non-negotiable: • Use a broad-spectrum SPF 30 or higher every day, even indoors — this will prevent further darkening of the spots.
