Why do I keep having dullness and and neck tightness coming and going - #10491

Hello, I’m looking for some advice because I’m really uncomfortable and worried. For the past week or so I’ve been having strange nerve sensations. Sometimes my left cheek or my upper lip goes numb, and it scares me. I went to the ER recently because I was worried it might be a stroke, but they checked me and said my blood vessels were fine and it wasn’t a stroke. Even though the ER visit was normal, I’m still having symptoms. Yesterday my whole body felt dull or “muted”, but after a few hours it went away. The numbness in my face comes and goes. I’ve also been having very tight neck muscles, and even taking a warm shower doesn’t seem to relax them much. I’m wondering if the neck tension could be affecting the nerves in my face. I was recently diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes, and the ER started me on Metformin. My blood sugars have been normal recently. Right now I don’t have a primary care doctor, so I’m trying to figure out what could be causing these symptoms and what I can do to help until I’m able to see a doctor. Does this sound like something related to nerve irritation, neck tension, anxiety, or diabetes, or is there something else I should be concerned about? Thank you for any advice.
