How to relieve the tooth pain

Sudden pain in canine tooth of left side low jaw, pain worsen when jaw is closed, taken pain killer, suggest pain killer with some antibiotics,as I am in travel, can't goto doctor, having some sensitivity in lower tooth.

Hey! I'm really sorry you're in pain, especially while traveling. Dental pain can have many causes — infection, cracked tooth, gum issues — and the right treatment depends on proper examination and your medical history. Since I haven’t seen you clinically, I can’t safely prescribe antibiotics or painkillers remotely. For now, you can try a mild painkiller like paracetamol or ibuprofen (if you’re not allergic), and can use a toothpaste - Sensodent kplus for some relief... But please see a local dentist or doctor as soon as you can — that’s the safest option. Let me know once you've had it checked!

Tooth ache

Tooth ache after RCT persists for two weeks. What shall I do in this case. Please help me with this. Difficult to get sleep due to this everyday. Can’t understand how to deal with this problem. Need help

Hi Raj, based on the history you are giving there may be 2 causes of pain after RCT- 1. Missed canal while doing RCT 2. Presence of high point on the restoration leading to trauma from occlusion which is causing periodontal pain(gum related). In either of the cases you should visit your treating dentist (better would be an Endodontist) and get your treated tooth checked both clinically and with the help of a radiograph. How to reduce gems swelling

I have I have visited two to three dental hospitals for check up but the swelling in my village is not reducing. Please tell me the treatment for this. I have take vitamin tablets and antibiotics but there is no effect to take this medicine.also inflammation in gems

As from your disease history mentioned by you, you will be needing a full mouth dental scaling. Gum swellings are very common due to improper toothbrushing and persistence of dental plaque deposits on tooth. On your end you should brush twice daily with a soft toothbrush and any over the counter toothpaste (not ayurvedic ones). If still problem persists, visit a nearby dentist and get your gums checked up thoroughly. I want to ask, about are you taking any medications for any health issues? The gum swellings can also may be due to drug related. Regards Dr Sudip Sen( MDS Periodontics)
