What can I do right now to relieve this severe jaw muscle pain? - #10478
Hello, I have a diagnosed CMD (Craniomandibular Dysfunction / Temporomandibular Disorder). Today, my jaw muscle pain suddenly became very severe, currently around 8/10 on a scale where 10 is unbearable. The pain is bilateral, strongest in my cheek muscles, and sometimes radiates to my temples and jaw. My jaw also clicks when moving. I have already taken Ibuprofen, but it barely helps. I use a bite guard / night splint, and physiotherapy is already scheduled. The pain is currently very difficult to tolerate. Could you please advise what acute steps or medications are possible? I need urgent help.
