Low HR after coming off metoprolol - #10545
Hello, I'm a 29 year old female. Considered obese. I was sent to see a cardiologist about 3 years ago for heart palpiltations and elevated bp. She put on metoprolol succate 25mg 1x a day. Less than a week ago, I had to call her because I had been so tired for weeks. I had been diagnosed with low iron and vitamin d, had been put on supplements, but my bp and hr were pretty low. My bp reached 90s / 60s and my hr at resting dipped to 55 for one reading. She told me to hold the metoprolol and see how I do. I haven't taken it for almost a week, but I'm still exhausted. My bp has came up to the low 100s to 110s over 60s and low 70s, so I feel good about that. But my hr still dips into 50s at times when taking my bp. I had a reading with a 53 hr but I managed to bring it back up to 66 with improved breathing. (Taking more breaths.) I also have mild dizziness at times. I'm a mom with no help, so my mind is always going. Its hard to tell what just my depression or mental Olympics vs other issues. I obviously want to talk to my cardiologist again because I need to see if this will be my new "normal" but until then - does anyone have any idea if this is okay? Should I change anything? My bp at the Dr office is always normal. Its just been low at home.
