Doctors’ responses

Hi Nandini, here’s a plan to control hair fall, dandruff, and improve hair health: 1. Shampoo & Conditioner: Use a mild anti-dandruff shampoo (with zinc pyrithione or ketoconazole) and a nourishing conditioner to hydrate and protect your hair. 2. Hair Oil: While oils can improve circulation, avoid leaving them on for too long. Coconut or almond oil for scalp massages can help, but ensure you wash it out properly. 3. Diet: Ensure a balanced diet rich in vitamins (A, E, Biotin), zinc, and iron for healthy hair growth. Drink plenty of water to keep hair hydrated. 4. Avoid Heat & Chemicals: Minimize the use of heat styling tools and chemical treatments. Avoid tight hairstyles that can cause breakage. 5. Split Ends: Trim your hair every 6-8 weeks to prevent split ends and keep hair healthy. 6. Stress Management: Practice yoga, meditation, or regular physical activity to reduce stress, which can contribute to hair loss. 7. Scalp Care: Regularly clean your scalp to remove oil, dirt, and dead skin. Use a gentle scrub or a tea tree oil rinse to manage dandruff. 8. Hygiene: • Use a separate comb and clean it regularly to avoid buildup of oils and dandruff. • Change your pillowcase every 2-3 days to prevent transferring oil, dirt, or dandruff to your hair while sleeping. • Avoid sharing hair accessories like combs and brushes to prevent the spread of dandruff. 9. Consult a Dermatologist: If hair fall continues, consult a dermatologist for possible treatments like minoxidil or for a deeper evaluation. With consistency in these practices, you should see improvements in reducing hair fall, dandruff, and overall hair health.

At 24, if you're struggling with hair fall, dandruff, and thin hair despite using hair oils and shampoos, it's important to look into your diet, stress levels, and overall scalp health. A dermatologist can recommend treatments like medicated shampoos, topical treatments, or dietary changes to address both the hair fall and dandruff issues.

Hello nandini, With regards to your concern Hair fall can have multiple causes. As hair is keratin and it cannot absorb any oil so don't use any oils on your hair. Oils increase hairfall more. Improve your hemoglobin levels. Get your vitamins tested. Take necessary supplements You can Undergo GFC treatment to enhance your hair growth. Kindly review back for further information.
