Dark spot after pimple squeezing – not healing for 1 year - #10315
Hello Doctor, About one year ago, I had a pimple near my ear. I squeezed it, and the skin came off from that area. After that, the spot became dark. Now it has been almost one year, but the dark mark has not gone away. There is no pain, no itching, and no bleeding, but the skin color is darker than the surrounding area. I want to know: Why did this dark spot happen? Is it permanent or will it fade? What treatment, cream, or medicine can help reduce this dark mark? Is it post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation or a scar?
