Cancer test - #10005

CEA blood test is 2.18 ng/ml. Is cancer is not in our body. Pls explain.Is chemotherapy is to be continued or not. i have completed 3rd chemotherapy. I have sigmoid colon cancer. Surgery is done and now chemotherapy is goin on.

1) Your result of 2.18 ng/mL is within the normal range, suggesting there is no active or detectable cancer at present based on this test.
2) However, CEA alone cannot confirm complete absence of cancer ,  clinical evaluation, imaging (CT scans, colonoscopy if needed), and oncologist assessment are also essential.
