Age: 40 Gender: Male Height/Weight: 160 cm / 77 kg Main concern: Shortness of breath and occasional mild chest discomfort, mainly at rest. History: Smoked for ~20 years Reduced smoking over the past month to 3–4 cigarettes/day Completely stopped smoking 8 days ago heavy smoker for iqos for the past 2 years, also stopped 2 months ago Symptoms: Feeling of not getting a full breath / need to take deep breaths Mild chest discomfort (not sharp, not triggered by pressing on chest) Symptoms are worse when resting quietly Symptoms improve when I am active or distracted Medical tests done: Cardiac evaluation (stress test, echocardiogram, Holter monitor) → all normal Calcium score → normal No known heart disease Other notes: Symptoms started around the time of smoking reduction/cessation I do feel increased anxiety since quitting Question: Are these symptoms consistent with smoking cessation (nicotine withdrawal or lung recovery), anxiety, or should I be concerned about an underlying lung or heart condition despite normal tests?
