Doctors’ responses

Hello, I understand your concern, and I’d like to reassure you that the chances of pregnancy are extremely low since there was no penetrative vaginal intercourse. However, if semen or pre-ejaculate came into contact with the vaginal area, there is a very minimal risk. Since your last period was on February 28, and today is April 3, a delay can occur due to several factors, including: • Stress and Anxiety – Emotional or physical stress can disrupt your hormonal balance. • Hormonal Imbalances – Conditions like PCOS, thyroid disorders, or changes in prolactin levels can delay menstruation. • Lifestyle Changes – Changes in sleep patterns, excessive exercise, or sudden weight gain/loss can affect your cycle. • Diet and Nutrition – Deficiencies or drastic dietary changes can impact menstrual regularity. • Medications or Birth Control – Some medications or stopping hormonal contraceptives can cause delays. To ease your mind, I recommend taking a home pregnancy test for confirmation. If it’s negative and your period remains absent, it may be beneficial to consult a healthcare professional to explore possible underlying causes. If you have any further concerns, feel free to reach out.

Hello With regards to your concern There can be a slight delay in menstrual cycle but it doesn't indicate pregnancy. When there is no vaginal intercourse chance of pregnancy is 0. Wait for few days it periods don't start kindly get an ultrasound of abdomen and pelvis.

Pregnancy is highly unlikely in your case since you haven’t had penetrative vaginal sex. However, if semen or pre-ejaculate came into contact with your vaginal area, there is a very small chance of sperm reaching the uterus. Stress, hormonal fluctuations, changes in diet, or lifestyle factors could also be reasons for a delayed period. If your period is significantly late, taking a home pregnancy test can help rule out pregnancy for peace of mind. If the test is negative and your period still doesn’t arrive, consider consulting a doctor to check for other potential causes like hormonal imbalances or stress-related delays.
