Doctors’ responses

Hello Jagadeesh, Your symptoms of hair thinning and white patches warrant a consultation with a dermatologist to accurately diagnose and address the underlying cause. They can recommend appropriate treatments, such as minoxidil or finasteride, tailored to your condition. Helmet Hygiene: • Clean Regularly: Regularly clean your helmet’s interior to prevent sweat and bacteria buildup, which can contribute to scalp issues. • Proper Fit: Ensure your helmet fits well to minimize friction and pressure on your scalp. • Use a Liner: Wearing a cotton cloth or bandana under the helmet can absorb sweat and reduce hair damage. Hair Hygiene: • Regular Washing: Wash your hair regularly with a gentle shampoo suitable for your hair type to keep the scalp clean and healthy. • Conditioning: Use conditioner after washing to moisturize and detangle hair, reducing breakage. • Gentle Handling: Avoid excessive brushing, especially when hair is wet, to prevent hair loss. Note: Always consult a healthcare professional before starting any medication to ensure it’s appropriate for your situation.

Hello, There is no relation to hairfall and helmet usage. There might be increased hairfall due to genetic cause or thinning itself can be starting stage of androgenetic alopecia. Taking biotin tablets won't work. Get GFC done by dermatologist.
