Help - #10061
Hello. My father has been taking Trihexyphenidyl twice a day for about 20 years to treat hand tremors after a head injury. He also smokes. About a year ago, one of his eyes started pointing upward even when looking straight. The tremor is still present. I'm concerned this could be a side effect of the medication, a neurological issue, or possibly a small stroke. I would like to ask: 1. Could the eye problem be related to the medicine or to a brain/nerve condition? 2. Is it safe to use Trihexyphenidyl for this long? 3. Are there safer or better alternatives for treating the tremors? 4. Can he stop using it, and if so, how should it be done safely?
