Heavy periods with clots and excessive flow - #10060
Hello doctor, I have been experiencing very heavy periods since yesterday. It is my 2nd day today. I am soaking through XL pads within 1–1.5 hours and even leaked through an XXXL overnight pad. The blood is very thick and comes with clots. Also cramps are unbearable. This is happening after months of irregular cycles—last month I got periods twice (one lasted 4 days and the next one 8–9 days). I feel tired and worried. I haven’t taken any medication yet. Please tell me if this is normal or if I need any treatment or tests.
