Hi Mukul Sharma. It appears like you have been having generalized anxiety disorder which has both physical and psychological symptoms. Physical symptoms include palpitations, feeling shortness of breath, chest pain, tremulousness, excessive sweating, headache, and sometimes tinnitus. These occur due to excessive sympathetic system activation which you would have heard as flight or fight response (which is not supposed to be activated during normal times). Psychological symptoms of anxiety include excessive worrying about almost all everyday matters, feeling restless, irritability, sleep and appetite disturbances. Management includes 1) Medications - SSRIs/ SNRIs - usually takes around 2-3 weeks to act and must be continued for atleast 6-9 months. 2) Cognitive Behavioral Therapy 3) Stress management 4) Mindfulness techniques - JPMR, Deep breathing and fee others 5) Lifestyle changes - regular exercise, balanced diet and good sleep hygiene.
