Bilateral polycystic ovaries and intramural fibroid indenting to endometrium.. under glycomet medication..is it safe to take oral contraceptive pills for pcod ? Have been trying for pregnancy since 3 years..im 29 years old..

Hi Amritha, OCPs can help in PCOD, but since you’re trying to conceive, they’re not suitable right now unless part of a short-term hormonal reset. Investigations: • Transvaginal USG (fibroid & ovary check) • Hormone profile (TSH, Prolactin, AMH, LH, FSH) – Day 2–5 of cycle • Day 21 progesterone (ovulation check) • HSG (tubes) – done post-period, before ovulation • Semen analysis (partner) – after 2–5 days of abstinence • Blood sugar (FBS, PPBS, HbA1c) Advice: • Continue Glycomet • Consider ovulation induction (Letrozole) • If fibroid affects the cavity, hysteroscopic removal may help • Stay active, eat healthy • Fertility options like IUI can be explored based on reports
