Doctors’ responses

Hi Sandeep, history is too inconclusive to opine on anything. What do you mean when you say azoospermia? Erectile dysfunction can have any number of causes - either medical or psychiatric causes. To rule out any cause, it needs extensive evaluation and assessment. Kindly contact nearest psychiatrist/ sexologist for proper evaluation of the condition. Regards.

Erectile dysfunction and azoospermia for several years may indicate hormonal, vascular, or testicular issues that need detailed evaluation. Consult a qualified urologist or andrologist as soon as possible to begin proper diagnosis and treatment.

Hi Sandeep, I understand that dealing with erectile dysfunction and azoospermia can be very challenging. Since you’ve been facing these issues for 9 years, it’s important to seek professional help. Here’s what I recommend: 1. Consult a urologist: A urologist can help diagnose the root cause of erectile dysfunction and azoospermia through various tests, such as hormone levels, semen analysis, and ultrasound. 2. Address underlying conditions: Sometimes, erectile dysfunction and azoospermia can be linked to other conditions like hormonal imbalances, diabetes, or lifestyle factors, so it’s important to address these as well. 3. Treatment options: Depending on the diagnosis, treatments can range from medications (like sildenafil for erectile dysfunction), hormone therapy, lifestyle changes (diet, exercise), to more advanced options like assisted reproductive techniques (IVF/ICSI) for azoospermia. Please make an appointment with a urologist or fertility specialist who can guide you with the best treatment options.

Hello Sandeep, I'm Dr. Aman Shaba. Thank you for sharing—dealing with erectile dysfunction and azoospermia for 9 years without help must be tough. Both conditions can have psychological (stress, anxiety, past trauma) or medical (hormonal imbalance, diabetes, lifestyle, etc.) causes. That’s why a detailed evaluation is the first and most important step before thinking about treatment. You need to consult both a psychiatrist and an andrologist/urologist to explore the root causes. With proper diagnosis, both ED and azoospermia can often be managed effectively. Let me know if you'd like help arranging a step-by-step plan. – Dr. Aman Shaba Consultant Psychiatrist 7992489808
