You could be anaemic. It might be wise to get your bloods checked.

Hi, Your symptoms (excessive yawning, breathlessness, restlessness, suffocation) are most likely due to anxiety or stress, which can affect your breathing pattern. Other possible causes include fatigue, poor sleep, mild respiratory issues, or rarely, neurological problems. What to do: • Practice slow, deep belly breathing. • Try to manage stress with relaxation techniques. • Ensure proper sleep and hydration. • If it persists, get basic tests like CBC, thyroid, ECG, chest X-ray.

Hi Kehkashan, there is too little information to make any diagnosis and advice. As other specialists mentioned, it can be due to medical causes like anemia or vitamin deficiencies. If associated with anxiety, low mood, feeling on the edge, restlessness and fidgetiness, physical symptoms like palpitations, shortness of breath and tremulousness, it could point towards anxiety or a depressive illness. If it's something related to psychiatric problem, please know that it is very much treatable with proper treatment. Kindly let me know if you need anymore help. Regards, Dr. Charan Kumar, MD Psychiatry (NIMHANS),
