Hello dear Please be advised See swollen lymph nodes probably submandibular one clearly indicates infection The etiology can be attributed to either any dental infections like pericoronitis or pharyngitis associated with fever or mailase. It could be serious since from 4 months the disease is going on. So i suggest you to please get clinical evaluation by culture or PCR. In addition kindly consult any dentist also for verification or ruling out dental problems Regards

Dear Shivam, I understand your concern about the swollen lymph nodes under your jaw that have persisted for four months. Since your doctor mentioned it would resolve on its own but you still feel it, it’s natural to wonder if it’s something serious. Is It Normal or Serious? Lymph nodes can swell due to infections, inflammation, or other underlying conditions. If there are no other symptoms like fever, weight loss, night sweats, or persistent pain, it’s often not serious. However, since it’s been four months, it’s a good idea to re-evaluate. What You Can Do: 1. Observe Any Changes – If the swelling is increasing, becoming painful, or if new nodes appear, consult a doctor again. 2. Check for Other Symptoms – If you have unexplained fever, fatigue, or weight loss, further tests may be needed. 3. Ultrasound or FNAC – If the swelling persists or feels hard, a neck ultrasound or FNAC (Fine Needle Aspiration Cytology) can help rule out any concerns. If it remains unchanged and you feel otherwise healthy, it’s likely not serious. However, if you’re still worried, visiting an ENT specialist or general physician for a second opinion would be a good step.
