It sounds like your overthinking is causing significant physical and emotional distress, including anxiety-related symptoms like chest pain, sweating, tachycardia, and gastric issues. Overthinking often stems from excessive worry about the future, self-doubt, or past experiences, but the good news is that it can be managed effectively. I recommend practicing deep breathing exercises and Jacobson’s Progressive Muscle Relaxation (JPMR) to help calm your nervous system. These techniques can reduce anxiety, improve sleep, and ease physical symptoms. Regular practice can make a significant difference. Also, please don’t fear consulting a psychiatrist. Psychiatry is confidential and non-judgmental, and professionals are there to help, not judge. Seeking help is a sign of strength, and treatment options can be tailored to your needs. You can also book an online consultation for convenience and privacy. Dr Aman Shaba Consultant Psychiatrist 7992489808
