Period disorder - #10097

Clara

Here’s a full overview of my situation: • Background: I used Duphaston for a few days last cycle to ensure my period would start on time before traveling. I did not use it to delay or skip my period — only to confirm its timely arrival, since my cycles are sometimes delayed by a few days. After stopping the medication, my period came normally. • Current cycle (the one after Duphaston): The bleeding began on time but started with light brown discharge that lasted around three days. Then, after some physical effort (walking, errands, carrying items), I noticed red streaks and thicker brown clots, though the flow remained light and painless. The brown discharge continued for about eight days, which is longer than my usual 6-day period. I performed ghusl (ritual bath). However, around day 9, I noticed new brown and reddish streaks upon wiping. Over the following week, there was persistent light brown spotting, sometimes increasing slightly after physical activity or walking. • Recent development (yesterday and today): Last morning the flow had almost disappearedonly faint brown traces. After evening errands (shopping, carrying groceries, walking ~15 minutes, and later prayers), I suddenly noticed bright red, fluid blood again when wiping. There were no clots or pain, but the blood was clearly red, not brown. Same for today the red flowing keep going. I’m confused whether this represents a continuation of the previous cycle (due to hormonal imbalance after Duphaston) or a new early period. Until now, I’ve never experienced bleeding or discharge for this long — it’s been almost 15 days in total.
