Risk of Anisakis infection from fish - #10290

Xena

Hello, I accidentally ate a very small piece of fish roe that might have contained a tiny Anisakis larva. The fish was bought yesterday and stored in the refrigerator, but I do not know how long it was stored before that. I immediately discarded the remaining food, washed my hands, and disinfected utensils. Could you please advise 1)Is there a risk of infection from a single small larva? 2)What symptoms should I watch for in the next 24–48 hours? 3)Are there any measures I can take now to reduce the risk of complications? Thank you very much for your guidance.
