Hello Simran, I’m sorry to hear about your discomfort. Your symptoms—upper abdominal pain, a feeling of fullness, difficulty eating, occasional breathing issues, and weight gain—may be indicative of conditions such as functional dyspepsia or gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD). It’s important to consult a healthcare professional for a thorough evaluation to determine the exact cause of your symptoms and to develop an appropriate treatment plan. In the meantime, consider the following: • Dietary Adjustments: • Eat smaller, more frequent meals to ease digestion. • Limit intake of fatty, spicy, and acidic foods, as they can exacerbate symptoms. • Avoid carbonated beverages and foods known to cause gas, like beans and certain vegetables. • Lifestyle Modifications: • Engage in regular, moderate exercise to aid digestion and manage weight. • Maintain an upright posture during and after meals to prevent reflux. • Consider elevating the head of your bed to reduce nighttime symptoms. • Stress Management: Techniques such as deep breathing, meditation, or yoga can help alleviate stress, which may contribute to digestive issues. Please seek medical attention promptly, especially if your symptoms persist or worsen, to ensure appropriate care and management.
