Numbness in Lower Extremities - #10135

I had surgery on 11/19 and recovery required me to sleep sitting upright. I had compression sleeves below the knees to my ankles, but on 11/21 my knees swelled so much they were stiff and hard. The swelling took another 5 days to loosen up, and now I am having numbness and tingling in my knees. Why?
