Dr. Sarekukka Jainandan

I have completed a one-year compulsory rotating internship at Katuri Medical College and Hospital, where I gained hands-on clinical experience across various core specialties of medicine. During this period, I had the opportunity to work in departments including Internal Medicine, General Surgery, Pediatrics, Obstetrics & Gynecology, Orthopedics, Emergency Medicine, and Community Health. This training helped strengthen my clinical acumen, diagnostic reasoning, and patient management skills under the supervision of experienced consultants and senior faculty. Throughout my internship, I actively participated in ward duties, outpatient care, minor procedures, and emergency management. I became well-versed in patient communication, clinical documentation, and interdisciplinary coordination. My role also involved assisting in labor rooms, operating theaters, and casualty units—experiences that have prepared me to handle a wide range of medical scenarios with competence and composure. This foundational year allowed me to bridge theoretical knowledge with practical application, laying a strong base for evidence-based clinical practice. It also reinforced the importance of empathy, patient-centered care, and ethical responsibility in all aspects of healthcare delivery. I approach every patient interaction with a commitment to attentive listening, accurate assessment, and clear communication. I believe in promoting preventive health, educating patients on lifestyle changes, and offering holistic care that addresses both immediate concerns and long-term well-being. I look forward to further advancing my skills and contributing meaningfully to the healthcare system as I continue to grow professionally.
