I am a 27-year-old woman. I had sex within 10 days of my menstrual cycle with proper protection in December. I had normal menstruation cycles in January and February on the right date for 3 days with minor cramps on the first days. I did not get my period this month. I did run two pregnancy tests with preg kits which showed negative results. Should I worry?

Hello,  I totally understand why you’re feeling concerned. Since you’ve already taken two pregnancy tests that came back negative, pregnancy is unlikely—but to be completely sure, I’d recommend taking another test using your first urine of the morning, as hormone levels are most concentrated then.

There are many reasons your period could be delayed—stress, changes in diet or routine, or even minor hormonal fluctuations. Since your cycles were normal in January and February, this could just be a temporary shift. However, if your period still doesn’t arrive in the next few days or you experience unusual symptoms like severe cramps, nausea, or breast tenderness, it’s best to check in with a doctor.

To rule out any underlying issues, you might also consider getting your TSH (thyroid levels), prolactin, and hemoglobin (Hb) tested. Thyroid imbalances and high prolactin levels can sometimes cause menstrual irregularities, while low hemoglobin (anemia) can also contribute to fatigue and cycle disturbances.
You might also need USG pelvic organ if the tests come normal.

Try to stay calm and give your body some time. Keep me posted on what happens!

Yes Rahul cmv doesn't have any treatment yet and it's treatment can be prolonged.As for life threatening aspects,it only happens when you don't take antiviral treatment,u need to complete induction period treat which is usually 6 week
