Vaginal warts are caused by the human papillomavirus (HPV) and should be treated under the guidance of a healthcare professional. Consult a gynecologist for proper diagnosis and treatment options

Hi Ying, Vaginal warts are caused by the HPV virus, and it’s concerning that they’ve been increasing in size. It’s best to consult a gynecologist or dermatologist for the right treatment. They may prescribe Imiquimod (Aldara) to stimulate your immune system or use treatments like Podophyllin or Podofilox to apply directly to the warts. Sometimes, freezing (cryotherapy) or laser treatments may be necessary if the warts are more stubborn. In the meantime, there are some home care steps you can follow. Keep the area clean and dry, avoid harsh soaps, and don’t scratch the warts. Be cautious with over-the-counter ointments, as the area is sensitive. As for sexual activity, it’s important to avoid it until you’ve been treated and received advice from your doctor. HPV is highly contagious and can spread through sexual contact, which could also irritate or worsen the warts. Using condoms or dental dams might reduce transmission but won’t eliminate the risk completely.

Thank you so much doctor
Hello With regards to your concern Treatment depends upon the area of warts. Any medication for warts especially over sensitive areas has to be used with utmost caution. Gross negligence will cause severe inflammatory responses. Don't use any medicine by self Always go to a consultant Dermatologist and get treated. Use condom for intercourse.
