I am currently serving as a Medical Officer under the Government of Odisha at the District Headquarters Hospital in Balasore, where I work across the Dermatology OPD, Medicine OPD, and Casualty department. My role involves diagnosing and managing a wide range of acute and chronic medical conditions, dermatological disorders, and emergency cases. This diverse clinical exposure has sharpened my diagnostic acumen and strengthened my ability to respond efficiently to varied and often time-sensitive patient needs. In the Dermatology OPD, I manage common and complex skin conditions including infections, inflammatory skin diseases, and allergic reactions, with a focus on evidence-based treatment and patient education. In the Medicine OPD, I deal with lifestyle diseases such as hypertension, diabetes, thyroid disorders, respiratory illnesses, and general internal medicine concerns, offering continuity of care through detailed follow-ups and preventive strategies. My responsibilities in the Casualty unit have trained me to stay calm under pressure, prioritize critical cases, and make swift yet informed decisions in emergency scenarios. This includes handling trauma, acute cardiac and respiratory distress, poisoning, and other life-threatening conditions that require immediate stabilization and referral. As a government-appointed physician, I am deeply committed to community health and public service. I believe in making healthcare accessible, affordable, and respectful for every individual who walks into our facility—irrespective of age, background, or condition. My approach is holistic and patient-centered, with an emphasis on clear communication, clinical ethics, and long-term wellness. Being part of a multidisciplinary government hospital setup has also given me opportunities to collaborate with specialists, support health outreach programs, and stay engaged in continuous learning. I see every patient interaction as an opportunity to serve with empathy and clinical precision, and I remain dedicated to growing as a healthcare professional who can contribute meaningfully to both individual and public health outcomes.
