Hello ashna Dry Ness and scaly skin will occur if you are using harsh soaps for bath. Start using bodywash of mild foam and Luke warm water for bath. After bath immediately apply Glycolive oat lotion on body . Try to wear cotton fabric in summer season.

thanks doc.but why does it appear like ring worm small tiny tiny whitish circles when i itch which laer on turn black
Dear Ashna, I understand how frustrating and uncomfortable it must be to experience itching after every shower, especially when it leads to skin discoloration. Based on your symptoms, this could be due to aquagenic pruritus, urticaria, or a form of sensitive skin reaction. The white marks turning dark over time may indicate post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation due to repeated scratching. Possible Causes & What You Can Do: 1. Water Sensitivity or Hard Water Reaction • Try using lukewarm water instead of hot water. • Install a water softener if hard water is an issue. 2. Dry or Sensitive Skin • Use a gentle, fragrance-free soap or shower gel (like Cetaphil or Dove). • Apply a thick moisturizer (containing ceramides or hyaluronic acid) immediately after showering to lock in moisture. 3. Histamine Response or Aquagenic Pruritus • If the itching is intense, you may benefit from antihistamines (like cetirizine or loratadine) before bathing (consult a doctor first). 4. Avoid Scratching to Prevent Skin Darkening • Instead of scratching, try cold compresses or calamine lotion to soothe the itch. • If pigmentation has developed, a dermatologist may suggest mild exfoliation or depigmenting creams. Since your skin has already darkened, it’s important to prevent further irritation. If the itching persists or worsens, consulting a dermatologist would be best to rule out underlying conditions like dermatographism or an allergic reaction.
